Luminis 4.1.0.0: No Email Link in Groups
We are on Luminis 4.1.0.0 on Windows. We do not use the integrated email, but have external accounts on an Exchange server. Our groups and courses are not showing the Email link. When I check in the admin panel under Group/Course Studio and Applications, Email is listed there, checked, but greyed out. Has anyone experienced this on their systems?
PDF's in full tab
We have reports produced by our Cognos system that are output as PDF's. For a number of reasons, the Cognos staff prefers to deliver these reports in this format. They would like me to create a tab that would load this report as the full frame of the tab. When I do this, I get the PDF loaded in a frame that is only about 1-2 inches high - clearly not the height of the PDF. I think that I've traced part of the problem to a script in the Luminis layout that tries to automatically determine the height of the content being loaded into the frame.
Regular Replication of Backup Server from Production Server
We have three Luminis servers: Production, Backup, and Development. Production is the daily-use server. Backup is meant to be nearly identical to Production and ready to be switched to temporary regular use in the event that Production were temporarily unavailable. At the worst, Backup should be replicated frequently enough that data would never be more than one week out of alignment with Production. Development is for developing and testing and would be replicated to Production standards once a month or quarter.
Tomcat Error?
I’m having a problem that I’m wondering if any of you have experienced. We’re trying to put Luminis IV on a Windows platform. Installation and migration go well. In testing things and trying to apply certificates, we’ve discovered a problem. Our server keeps trying to direct things to our internal computer name (portal.xyz.lcl) instead of our external domain (portal.dickinson.edu).
Two GCF CPIP's, One Set of User Credentials
I have two systems that use the same user credentials (not the same as the Luminis credentials). I'd like to build GCF CPIP's to both of them, but don't want to store the same credentials twice. If I store them twice, when a user changes their password on the external system, they will need to update two places in Luminis.
Is there any way to get two CPIP's to access one set of credentials?
Thanks.
Reference CPIP URL Parameter in Properties Files
I have a connector that would benefit from being able to have additional information passed in on the /cp/ip/login URL. I could pass it as part of the "url" parameter of the login URL or as a separate parameter. Does anyone know how I can reference the value of a parameter on the cp/ip/login URL from within the .properties file?
Changing CPIP 'External Account Synchronization' Message Text
If anyone knows where I would change the text of the message that appears on the "External Account Synchronization" prompt, I would appreciate some pointers. (This is the prompt that appears when a user tries to access a CPIP'd external system but fails the authentication.)
GCF: Getting Data from Response Header to Final URL
I'm trying to make a connector to InterChange webmail. We cannot get the InterChange server to allow us to access the pickup.html file to set cookies. However, you can still access the webmail application if you use the cookie value as part of the URL. So what I need to do is capture the cookie value when it comes back from InterChange (using "grabfromheader" in the XML), then insert it into the final destination URL that the CPIP is routing to. Anybody have a good idea on how to do this second part?
Thanks,
David
