In the last 2 weeks we have received several reports about an error that happens when the teacher tries to send an e-mail using a consolidated course.
The error shows the text: "Message could not be delivered. Could'nt find an outgoing host to route mail to."

Has anyone seen this message?

Hi.
From time to time we get the message:

CPIP Notification: loginuser request failed for comexp
If you need assistance, contact your system administrator.

The message appears when the user clics on the e-mail Icon or in the e-mail channel.

This error goes away just by stopping and restarting the e-mail server (we're using the sun mail server that comes with luminis).

I was wondering if someone has a correction or a workaround for this.

We're running Luminis IV since a couple of years.

Some students and teachers requested to change the DiplayName in Luminis, currently the person name and SSN is shown, but the SSN must be eliminated.

Does anybody know how to make this change for all Luminis users?

Hi,

Every now and then we receive complains from our teachers because -unexpectedly-  in course studio one of their courses "is not shown" and they can't get into their course site.

In order to correct this we re-synchronize the mising CRN, but when this situation happens in a weekend -and there's no one to help- our teachers they literally get mad.

Has anyone deal with this?

Our profesors are trying to upload files about 15 MB to course studio but this file size is over the Luminis limit.

Does anybody know where the maximum file size for uploading is configured in Luminis?

Hi, We're using Luminis IV, one of our teachers is doing an intensive use of the "News" facility within Group Studio. His group has created 300 News in the last month, but now they can't add more news it seems that this group has reached some kind of limit.

Does anybody know if there is a limit for the news? and is there a way to increase that limit?

Hi, We've running Luminis IV for the last six months, we haven't touched any configuration file during that time, yesterday we had this error when we clicked on the e-mail icon within Luminis.

We tried to restart the Luminis box, but the restart process failed, Calendar and E-mail server are working fine but the Luminis Box is still down.

The consultants from Sungard are trying to help but we need to hurry, has anybody deal with this error?

We're experiencing problems when our students try to download Excel 2007 files from "My Courses". This happens only with IE 7 but with Firefox everything works fine.

The thing is that when the students click on the file name, the browser opens a dialog box but the file name ends with ".zip" instead of ".xlsx".

Has anybody deal with that?

We're currently using Lumnis IV and my boss is asking if it's posible to know how many teachers (or Banner Sections) are using the portal for their classes.

Is there a way to know this?
