LDN - Luminis Developer Network

Has anyone built a limited "development" luminis IV enviornment on a single desktop machine (including database) to support development of channelsand content (including sdk/cdk development)?  We would like to have a few development enviornments for our content and jav programmers and possibly build a vmware image to give to these users so they all have their own development enviornment.

I would like to see if there are any schools that are currently running Luminis III with Banner 8 and have integration with WebCT Vista.  I understand from sungard that this is not a supported solution and that you have to revert from using the LDI live event processing that uses the LMB/LMG message broker back to using Batch file processing using ICGORLDI.

Has anyone accomplished this or decided that they could not run Luminis III and Banner 8 and had to upgrade to Luminis IV prior to Banner 8 go live?

We currently are using the luminis data integration system that updates luminis and blackboard when a student is admitted to the college or a new employee is hired.  The live integration uses the standard sungard setup.

The issue we have is that when a person event is fired (which creates or appends changes to their Luminis and WebCT Vista account), the password is reset back to the default as identified by Banner on WebCT.  The luminis password is not reset and remains their current password.
