           Here at USD we have some banner modules. Our HR, payroll and some other modules are oralce apps. Considering that we want our employees to use the portal as well, we are thinking that providing single sign-on's to all the oracle apps could be another good reason we can request employees at USD to get to the portal. Now keeping this in mind, i searched for people providing SSO's to oralce apps from the portal but i didn't see anybody have any posting for it.

         Even though this is not a blog i decided to post an entry in here. I will try my best to constantly keep updating this content and adding more details about my new project. My recent project is rebuilding the entire luminis system in a PD setup in our dev environment.

We are going through a detailed load testing for couple of scenarios. They are:

Goal:

1) Making changes to the NFS, Network storage, IO stats, thread count in the kernel etc to improve performance. We are testing on our dev environment and then planning on making the same changes to the current production environment.

2)We are moving towards a parallel deployment environment and we are hoping that these load tests could also be used as a benchmark for us to see how much we gained by going to parallel deployment.

Some of you guys are probably interested in developing mobile applications to your student community. For example let the students use their moble phone to register for classes, pay their tuition, select their dorm rooms, check the status of teh campus shuttle etc., Some of you guys probably developed applications that can be used as alerts on the mobile phone.
