LDN - Luminis Developer Network

We're trying to figure out how Luminis maps the data that it gets from Banner for inserting into the Sun LDAP.

- We can see that Banner simply populates event tables based on triggering activity.

- It looks like Luminis uses a jdbc connection with the integmgr user to pull the data out of those tables and process them.

We're in the middle of our Luminis IV install (our Sungard consultant is, anyway), and some questions are coming up from some of our organizational committees. I'm wondering how hard it is to modify delivered Banner Channels. We have a very limited staff, so I'm a little hesitant at this point.

How hard is it to add an extra link to an outside web page?

Is there a short list of things to which you could say, "These are fairly easy changes that you could probably offer to your users early on in the process."

We're in the middle of our Luminis IV installation (well, at least our Sungard consultant is).

We'll be using our GroupWise Calendar for Faculty and Staff. It works well and does what we want. We do, however, want to use the Luminis calendar for Students' personal calendars, Group Studio, and some general campus calendars (activity calendars, sports calendars, etc).

Here are our questions:

1. Can we turn off the personal calendar for Faculty and Staff, yet allow them to see the other more general calendars?
