LDN - Luminis Developer Network

I must be doing something wrong.  We are going live with luminis IV in 2 days and I keep getting an error message when I up my layout fragments.  

Error:  An internal problem prevented the creation of the audience(s).

We found a virus on the sql server today which caused the system to crash. We are now upgrading to sql 2003 and we can't sync up Luminis. Has anyone run into this problem? We are down and thought someone may have experienced this. We're on Luminis III.3.3.

Has anyone been able to mask the External Information System ID in the System Administrative User Information page. We're in the process of changing to a uniquie user identifier (another one of my entries), however, for now we'd like to mask or 'x' out the first 5 digits on the screen. We have students and staff that reset passwords, update data, etc. that have access to this information. Since we ask students for the last 4 digits of their SS# for security reasons, we still need part of it to appear on the page.

With Security issues.. we are trying to come up with a solution to eliminate the students, employee,'s social security number from being the unique id in all our systems. Since the External Information System ID: is the social security numer in Luminis has anyone thought about removing SS# and replacing it will another type of id?
And how this can be accomplished.
Any input on this topic is appreciated.

I would like to go directly to http://cmcentral.misericordia.edu/cp/render.UserLayoutRootNode.uP?uP_tparam=utf&utf=/cp/school/main
from a tab. This is entry into our Administrative Services Area. (I'm trying to cut down on clicks). I thought it would be just to cut and paste this into a framed url in the tab. I get to the page, however, it's doubled. And I can't get back.. I have to log out . I'm not sure why. Am I doing something wrong? or maybe just not thinking this through..

Does anything have any experience in changing your URL for your portal. We're on Luminis III.3.3.
We are changing to University Status and need to change our url from
cmcentral.misericordia.edu to emu.misericordia.edu.
SCT said we may have to do a full upload. We really don't want to do
this. All we're looking for is changing the cmcentral reference to emu.
I've sent a request to the Luminis Listserv also. I've had one great response, however, it looks like this is not an easy thing to do.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm asking this question because I'm not familiar with security.

We are converting to Blackboard very soon. We are looking for SCT documentation on how to extract the Luminis data in xml form. We cannot locate specifics in the docs. We're still looking but any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm new at this. I created a channel using an RSS feed. It worked fine. Now I've found some more sites that are using RSS and XML. I'm not sure how to set these up within a channel. I want to use this for Movie and Music reviews.

Is there an 'easy' way to make My Courses as a tab? I guess it's not an easy cut and paste the url into the My Courses page.
