Hi all

We just installed 4.3.0.81 on our test luminis system running Windows 2003 OS.

When we use MS IE to logon to the system (SSL installed), a "Security Warning" message pop up asking the use "Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered Securely?" but no other browsers like Mozilla and Chrome.

If the use click "NO", everything shows normally but if some content will be blocked when "YES".

Is there any school successfully solved the issue? Thanks!

Hi all

We received a "Vulnerability Accessment Report" from VeriSign indicates there are couple critical Vulnerabilities on our luminis 4.2.3.34 systems (Windows 2003 OS)running Tomcat/Apache 5.5.0 web servers. Any other school has the similiar issues? if so, what do you do to fix them? Thanks!

Hi all

We want to remove an additional icon in our luminis (We have Email and GMail icons, we want to remove GMail for Groupwise after upgrading to Google mail) but after changing the following files:

$CP_ROOT/webapps/luminis/WEB-INF/uPortal/org/jasig/portal/layout/tab-column/nested-tables/nested-tables.xsl (comment out Email part)
$CP_ROOT/webapps/luminis/WEB-INF/uPortal/org/jasig/portal/channels/cpicons/channel.xsl (same as above)

we got the following errors:

Hi all

We are trying to renew and install SSL Certificate for our luminis 4.3 system. We submit a new 2048 bit CSR to Verisign successfully and it returns 2 certificates! We tried to install them both but got errors:
$ keytool -import -v -alias tomcat -file NucleusCert.txt -keystore cacerts -storepass xxxxxxxxx
keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Public keys in reply and keystore don't match

Hi all

Blackboard is about to upgrade its version for our school from 8.X to 9.1 and Sungard helped us to developed a CPIP connector for BB version 9.

My question is:

We changed the destination of the CPIP link from pcomtest.blackboard.com to pcomstaging.blackboard.com in bb9.properties and nested_tables.xsl but somehow it never works. it keeps asking user for password. Anyone knows why? (Bb also confirmed pickup file is copied)

Please someone help? Thanks!

Hi all

We are working to upgrade all our school PCs to Window 7 (we are now XP), we would like to have some answers from other schools:

1. Has any school upgraded all their school PCs to Window 7?
2. What version of luminis are you using (we are 4.2.3.34 running on Windows 2003 OS)
3. How about IE9?
4. How about Outlook 2010? any school created CPIP for it? (we are using Groupwise now)
5. Blackboard connection (we are now 8.2) using Windows 7?

Hi all

A student tries to change password by clicking on "my account" link, even he/she follows the rules (from Abcd1234 to Abcd4321):
Password Requirements
• The password length must be 8 or greater.
• The password length must be 20 or less.
• The password must contain a letter.
• The password must contain a digit.

luminis keeps showing "The password change failed for an unspecified reason."

Why is that? We use EAS and Novell NDS to Authenticate.

Any idea or suggestion is welcome!

Hi all

Sungard informed us that they had not created LP5 for Windows server and unfortunely we are running Windows OS everywhere in our school.

Is there any school has similiar concern? What about creating an apache server and install LP5 there? Virtualize it? What about Migration?

Any input or idea will be greatly appreciated.
