LDN - Luminis Developer Network

I am looking for a solution in Luminis where documents can be posted to an area, but some documents should not be accessible to everyone or to everyone in the group - maybe accessible if you supply a password.

Would this best be done with Group Studio or a channel that is only accessible via certain roles? I'm sorry if this is vague but I am new to Luminis.
