Luminis 4.2 and Load Balanced CPIPs
I'm looking for schools that might have load balanced their CPIP sessions through their portal tier servers and are using a Cisco ACE load balancer. Our CPIP sessions do not seem to stick to the /cp sessions (port 80 and 443) and therefore fail. If anyone has experience with this and is willing to shed some light on their Luminis and load balancer configs, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you!
Running CPIPConnector webserver on portal tiers in a PD envrionment
Has anyone been successful in getting their CPIPConnector webserver running on their portal tier servers? We managed to get it working without SSL, but hit a block soon after we SSL enabled the CPIP port 8008 on the load balancer.
Our production environment is successfully running the CPIPConnector webserver running on our resource tier server with SSL off loaded at the load balancer. But we are trying to move this to our portal tier servers so that CPIPConnector sessions can also be load balanced.
Any way to avoid misc/serverFailure.jsp in a parallel deployment environment?
Even though our portal servers are up, our users are routinely directed to the misc/serverFailure.jsp page when they attempt to login to the portal. We assume this happens because they are using an open browser window pointed at the portal and their session is directed to a portal tier server other than the one they were previously on.
Our users are frustrated at being redirected to the serverFailure.jsp page after they entered their credentials on the login page only to be redirected to the login page again where they have to enter their credentials all over again.
