Senior Web Services Developer - The primary role of the Senior Web Services Developer/Portal Architect is to lead a technical team in the design, development and maintenance of the University’s selected portal systems, and its integration with the University’s information system. The Senior Web Services/Portal Architect is to architect and develop scalable solutions, in response to the University’s requests for a personalized, constituent-centered web experience.
Bachelors’ degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Study/knowledge in the field of computer science, software development and methodologies. A minimum of 5-8 years experience in architecting and developing enterprise web applications with exceptional knowledge of internet and portal technologies including DHTML/JavaScript, XML, J2EE, PERL, and PL/SQL. System experience with Linux and Oracle Application Server. Knowledge of web-based security, such as LDAP, PKI, firewalls, SSL, and cookies. Experience with the full software development life-cycle, including the creation of Use-Case scenarios, CVS, QA testing, and Usability testing. Knowledge of network/IP configuration and domain definitions expertise.
