HyperContent CMS

We currently are not using any CMS.  I found HyperContent on the ja-sig site and it seems like a logical choice since it integrates with uPortal and Luminis uses uPortal.  I was hoping to find a how-to install HyperContent in a Luminis environment.  The HyperContent guide indicates it is pretty easy to install if you are also doing a uPortal quick start installation.  However, on the surface it looks like it might be tricky to install in a Luminis setup.  Has anyone done this and if so would you be willing to share your install steps?  We are running Luminis III.2 on Solaris.

Ingeniux CMS

We are actually using a CMS here at the University of Pacific called Ingeniux. It publishes out its content either using xml or html. We are planning on publishing out the majority of the content out as xml. You can also publish to multiple publishing targets. We are looking at either publishing the portal content directly to the Luminis server or to a separate server that only hosts content for the portal.

Ingeniux & Luminis

Hey Randall:

What did you come up with in regards to Ingeniux and Luminis? At Eastern Wa. Univ. we are in the planning process implementing Luminis IV and pulling certain content from the Ingeniux CMS system. I think the plan is to have our marketing and communications folks handle their Intranet content in Ingeniux but pull it in via Luminis. Just wondering what you came up with and how successful it was.

Thanks for shedding any light you could on this.

Mike

Reddot

We have a CMS product by the name of Reddot which we plan to use for certain types of portal content. LIke many CMS products Reddot can publish the same content to different locations or different formats so the plan is to either have Reddot publish some of it's content as an XML document that we can perform a transform on, or a XHTML snippet that we can bring in using something like the targetted content channel.

results?

So did anyone have success integrating these 3rd party CMS's with Luminis?

I see this thread is 1 year old...wondering what your results were.

Luminis IV and CMS

Greetings All,
We are looking at various CMS companies to integrate information between Luminis and the college web site. I am looking for any information on any colleges currently doing this (especially with Cascade). We need one solution to update both the web site and the portal channels. Unfortunately, homegrown is not an option.

Thanks,
Bill

Jadu CMS plus Luminis Targeted Content Channels

We are just in the process of implementing Jadu, and have yet to decide which channels will be populated with content from the CMS. In the first instance we will consume this by manually associating an XSL transform channel with the URL for the XML delivered by the CMS.

We may also manually configure some TCCs to have remote HTML sections pointing at this content.

We just need to turn the ideas into something that works.
