Reset iPlanet Admin Login

Ok...stupid question of the day. I have to update my SSL certs and I forget my login to the iPlanet Administration page. I seem to remember that we had that in our System Admin class but I can't track it down. Anyone want to have mercy on me? Thanks all. ;-)

edit the admpw file
I am guessing you are trying to get into the web administration console. If your administrative passwords have changed or if you lost them, you will need to edit the following file:
/opt/luminis/products/ws/https-admserv/config/admpw
You should see a single line similar to lumadmin:{sha}HWR$#KJs124AD. You need to remove the encrypted password portion of this. The result is lumadmin:
Once you have done this, you should be able to access your console without a password. It still prompts for the user name but you will not need to enter the password. Once you have gained access to the console, go to preferences then superuser access control to set a new password.
