Cheers to the site.
We don't actually have the Luminis yet but are gearing up for it July 1. (Naturally we will be even greater devotees to this site later.) We have Lotus Notes as our e-mail and want to stay with it. Sometimes it feels like we are the only institution that has it and users like us are hard to find. I am hoping this site's collective brain trust can share some wisdom on this topic.
lotus too!
We're also a lotus site; we're going to decide whether or not to dump it and go with sunone as we implement luminous. We've been told that lotus can be a channel just like anything else. We have 50% of our campus off campus and the web interface to notes can be problematic. How are you handling that with faculty and students?
Lotus / Luminis Integration
Hello! My name is Robin Howard, and my campus (North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University) is in the process of planning our Luminis installation. We have Lotus Notes, also - and we are planning to develop a channel interface to Lotus email and calendaring. I was wondering what other campuses have done, what challenges you have encountered and what lessons you have learned. Thank you for any suggestions you have. Thank you!
CPIP
We have had a working CPIP to Lotus Notes for a few years now, so I'd be happy to show you the CPIP files we are using. We did not channelize the inbox though. Email me at millermm at lasalle dot edu
