LDN - Luminis Developer Network

Given the theory in the first chapter, UVic started the implementation of an Exchange integration channel for Exchange 2007. The objectives were as such:

• Have a summary of the user's Inbox where clicking on the message opens OWA and the message
• Have a summary of the Calendar where clicking on the event opens OWA and the event
• Display summary statistics about the user's Inbox
• Provide links into the other common areas of OWA (contacts, tasks...)

Exchange 2007 contains Web Services (SOAP) for data access, this along with the user's Luminis login credentials would be used to retrieve data from Exchange. An SSO connector made by modifying the Sungard delivered connector would be used for deep linking.
