Luminis IV.0.2.0 Upgrade

We are at IV.0.1.17 (not in production yet) and are planning on upgrading to IV.0.2.0.
I'm wondering how many sites have done this upgrade and what problems or issues you have run into.
I'm kind of new to this LDN site, so if there's somewhere I should find this discussion topic, please point me there. Otherwise, any experiences you care to share will be interesting.

i would love to see if anybody has done that

We are on LP 4.0.1.25. We are planning to move to LP 4.0.2.0. I would like to know if anybody already did this? We are having some issues with performance with LP 4.0.1.25 version and LP 4.0.2.0 release guide says that it fixes the performance issues. I would like to see if the release really fixed this?

We applied 4.0.2.0 about two weeks ago

We were in LP 4.0.1.56 before the upgrade. The issue we have in 4.0.2.0 is the framed tab. The page under the framed tab will not display properly in 4.0.2.0. Only the upper part of the page displays, lower part is blank. You need to scroll the side bar to see a bit more content.

Our My Courses content was under a framed tab. After I contacted with action line, they gave me a workaround which has fixed the display problem. But we found email members within Course Studio dose not work. The window disappears after a few seconds. So we have to change the My Courses tab into a traditional tab and put the Course Studio Activity Channel there.

Framed links not displaying at all...

Hi Steven,
We're also in the process of applying 4.0.2.0 but having problems with framed links not displaying at all. We're getting an "access denied" error which may mean it's something completely different from the problem you had. Just in case it our issues are related or it clarifies something for us -- would you mind sharing the workaround that fixed the problem? And also the format of the URL you use for framed links -- that is, what flavour of the http://my.whittier.edu/cp/render.userLayoutRootNode.uP?uP_tparam=utf&utf=[target of link] URL is working for you?

Did all you 4.0+ users migrate data from luminis 3.* version?

Hi All

Did you run Migration at all? if so, would love to have some suggestions and tips. We had so much trouble running migration from 3.3.3.64 to 4! thanks!

Workaround for the framed tab in 4.0.2.0

Hi Fiona,

Your issue looks different from ours. The url we had for the framed tab is: http://my.whittier.edu/cp/school/schedule.

Following is the workaround for the display issue for framed tab from Action Line:

Please modify the file $CP_ROOT/webapps/luminis/WEB-INF/uPortal/properties/portal.properties
find the line: org.jasig.portal.MediaManager.omit_doctype and change it to yes.
This will remove the doctype for the page.
Restart Luminis.

Any Fix?

Hi Fiona,

We are seeing the same problems here and we were wondering if you had a fix for this? Internal links like utf=/cp/school/schedule work, just not external links.

Framed tab hotfix

The problem with the Framed Tab is fixed in hotfix IV.0.2.26, available on the Sungard support site.
