find out TServe port used by Luminis III.3.3 for SSO

Does anybody know how to find out the port number in Luminis III.3.3 that Luminis uses to single sign on to Plus HR/SIS system? Our Luminis III is installed by SGHE staff. Now I need to reconfigure SSO to Plus in Luminis IV.

Thank you very much!

Perhaps this property

Either question is unclear, or I just don't understand; you may be asking about this property:

configman -g sctip.eventAdapter.port

Or, you may be asking about the JDBC connection port for authenticator process, which is found in here:

$SCT/authen/local.properties

In any event, since you mentioned Luminis IV your question may be completely off base.... you probably want to read the "middle tier implementation guide", a downloadable document from the UDC support site. The document will be in the SOFTWARE downloads section (I know, strange) and it is named something like MIDTIER70401IM.PDF

Note that to use Luminis IV, Sungard says this:
If you are using Luminis Platform IV, then Banner General 7.4.1 and Luminis
Channels for Banner 7.2 are both required.

Very Thankful

$SCT/authen/local.properties is the file containing the TServe machine's IP and port number for Single-Sign-On to our Plus system(while we have Banner too).

Apparently the IP is wrong and port is wrong too.
1. "telnet IP port" failed, which means that port is not open.
2. When I use nslookup for that IP, the result shows that IP is for our voice machine. I know that the IP of our test TServe is something else.
3. the TServe machine's IP in local.properties in both our production and test Luminis III.3.3 is the same.

I need to test it out with the correct IP after finding out the TServe port for SSO.

Is it possible that the local.properties is used only once during the installation and all the info is hard-coded in the code?

Victor

The IP and port number is correct

I was confused by WebFor and TServe.

Academic Services channel

I read the Installation Guide again. Since I am dealing with Academic Services channel for SSO to Plus(or Banner), Middle Tier is not needed. Middle Tier will be needed for Luminis Channel for Banner in our future. Thank you for telling how to find the Middle Tier Implementation Guide!
