LDN - Luminis Developer Network

Can anyone tell me how one might change or add to the content in a Banner channel? We're still new to this and have two changes we would like to make: in one case, we want to remove a link from a Banner channel. in the other case, we want to add a link. I have been through the "luminis channels for Banner handbook" and it is less than helpful.
