Hey gang,
I am trying to create a cpip connector to an external web service that we use named Symplicity, via a supplied pickup.html on the web service's domain.
They have provided us with a pickup.html address and all attempts that I have made have been miserable failures! I have been working with Sungard support on this and they have given up and recommended Professional Service Support.
My main question about this matter is this...When I first contacted support regarding this issue they stated that I needed to construct a alias.xml and alias.properties file for the service. They also said I needed to configure my web.xml to access the login page of the service, which by the way is dynamic and apparently nearly impossible to do.
But, what about the pickup.html?!?! Can anyone direct me to more in depth information aboout creating a cpip connector using a pickup.html?

pickup.html versions
I'm not sure what version of Luminis you are on, but I did find out that the pickup.html file is different between III and IV. If they are providing you the pickup.html file, be sure it is for the correct version.
Thanks,
Bill
Version
Bill,
We are currently on 4.1.0.23.
When I first went to support about this, I was told to create a alias.xml and alias.properties file for the new connection, and use header traces to construct the login process for the alias.xml file.
All I ever did with the pickup.html file was list it in the alias.properties file!!!
Using this method was futile. The login page is dynamic with different tabs, it has a text validation input box on it, etc.
And to top it all off Symplicity states:
"Symplicity supports the use of CPIP connectors with Luminis. It does this through the installation of a special cookie file called pickup.html into the school directory. This integration is availible out of the box and free of charge.
As all integration work must be performed on the universities side, Symplicity can not offer additional guidence to how to properly setup this single sign-on solution. When the cpip connection is ready to be tested, the pickup.html file is installed in: https//[system-url]/3rdparty/sso/pickup.html Direct the connector to this url."
I tried using the pickup.html address as the get param in the alias.xml but there is no form to post values to, and to be honest I have never created a connector utilizing a cookie before, so I am little confused.
After reading this I am pretty sure that my main problem is figuring out how I am suppose to properly utilize that pickup.html file.
I have the cookie code from the pickup.html file, let me know if you would like to see it.
