We are experiencing a strange intermittent issue with targeted content channels.
Environment:
Version 4.1.1.14
Parallel Deployment with two portal tiers.
All tiers are running Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 3
It usually goes down like this: an existing TC channel (broken into several sections, each with its own section audience based on role. The sub-sections are all Free-form html/text.) is modified slightly and then saved. The new modifications are visible on one portal server but on the other, the entire channel disappears.
Error in CP log shows:
[ERROR](ChannelDefinitionManager.java:604)
[com.sct.pipeline.uportal.channels.content.admin.ChannelDefinitionManager]: Failed to publish channel definition!
[2008-09-23 09:36:35,330]
[ERROR](ChannelManager.java:766) [org.jasig.portal.ChannelManager]: ctf150: failed to set the runtime data for the channel - error code: 3
org.jasig.portal.PortalException: java.lang.RuntimeException: com.pipeline.bom.BomModificationException
The Action line has not been able to come up with any suggestions.
Anyone seen this before?
