Password Reset restrictions

Has anyone out restricted password reset capabilities of a selected population? It's been asked if we can restrict prospective students from resetting their password before they become a student.

I was thinking maybe hiding the "My Account" link, and having a role based icon go to the system preferences page...

any ideas?

Hi,
We took the link to "content/layout" and "my account" for applicants and admits.

Its a modification in nested-tables.xsl file

nested-tables?

I am on version 4.0.2... Is this correct for this version? Where in nested-tables?
