.car files : What's under the hood

The .car file is a uPortal convention allowing developers to pack up an entire code tree that controls a channel.  Similar (identical) to a .jar file in its function (or a .zip file for you windows geeks) you can copy 1 file to install a channel instead of an entire code tree.  We'll dissect one and build one with auto-publish capabilities.
