I thought Luminis III.3 would allow SSO to both Plus and Banner Self-serve. I can't find any documentation on the install.
We are converting to Banner and want to start using Banner SS one module at a time while disconnecting Plus SS. Any thoughts????
Thanks.

We are going through the same
We are going through the same type of thing: We have plus self-service products (faculty, student) as well as banner self-service. So far, we only have the finance and web tailor self service modules up in production. What we ended up doing is setting the primary connection to point to Plus (for LDI events, and SSO). We set up our plus web products to allow SSO from Luminis, and we established the connections in luminis using the SCT.ID and Cleartext.SCT.Credential user attributes.
For the banner self service, we are using a CPIP connecter (called banweb - I believe it is part of the system) in order to perform single sign-on. We generally don't want people to have access to SSB directly, so we aren't giving the new login ID/PIN information out (the data we are storing as part of the ExternalAccount user attribute).
So far, it's working out quite well. I'm not quite sure of what work I will need to do when we make the final switch from plus to banner (at least, in terms of self service products). My only concern at this point will be to know how banner accesses user accounts in luminis through the LDI: Do I need to change the SCT.ID value to match each user's SPRIDEN_ID, or will the banner LDI use the third party identifier in GOBTPAC/GOATPAD? If anyone happens to know, I'd appreciate it :)
planning to do the same
We are in the very early stages of doing this same thing. We have a test instance of Luminis installed and set up to connect to Plus. We will begin installing Banner products in the next couple of months but of course won't finish for a couple of years. However, I've been told that we will LEAP from Plus to Banner through some phased in approach that SungardSCT will help us implement. They seem to refer to it as LEAP so i thought you may be able to ask your rep or consultant about that process. Surely they have it worked out... ;)
It should allow this. I'm sti
It should allow this. I'm still in process of getting my system up but this is the main feature we wanted. I still don't have all the answers, but it is supposed to be possible. SCT says they have mine setup from the Luminis side, but there are still some configuration to be done on the RDBMS. The directions are supposed to be on action web but I have not been able to find it yet. My rep is supposed to be getting me the information, so once that happens I'll post back and share how to do it.
