any thoughts on "Welcome to the SunGard Higher Education Commons"

Today I read one of Sungard's maillists, and found that the What's New for Luminis (weekly posting) is now going to be hosted on http://www.edu1world.org/CommonsSunGardHE/

Having gone through the sign up process and then had a glance to find the maillist or information that looks like the What's New I must say that I am yet to be impressed. Has anyone else signed up? Has anyone else found the weekly list of Defects and RPEs etc?

Perhaps it is just a lack of familiarity with this particular wiki on my part.

Signed up about a week ago. I do like that Sungard is trying to be more open but overall it is a half-hearted attempt. Somehow they always seem to choose the absolutely worse ui/navigation for their sites. I'll stick with LDN anyday.

Wow, what a bad web site. I know that retro can be in, but is it supposed to be retro-useless, retro-horrible-navigation or just retro-ugly?

I think it's like if my luddite Dad tried to be hip and commissioned a cheap freelancer to make him a clone of another site that he saw, but kept on coming back with even more and more junk to throw into it, eventually morphing it into a mess that nobody could understand.

And then gave it a bad name.
