What sequence of patch installations should I follow?

Hi all

Sungard recommands us to install latest patches on our test luminis 4.0.0.0 3593 version in order to solve some issues. I see there are 4.01, 4.02, 4.1, 4.1.1, 4.2 and 4.2.1 versions available to download in the Sungard Web Page.

What sequence of patches should I install? can any school who has the latest version kindly give me any suggestion? thanks!

There should be a 4.2.2

There should be a 4.2.2 available also.
Patches should be installed in order: 4.0.1.0, 4.0.2.0, 4.1.0.0, 4.1.1.0, 4.2.0.0, 4.2.1.0, 4.2.2.0, latest hotfix.

cumulative patches

Sungard started rolling all the patches into one file. I think as of LP-4.2.2.0 you can run the install, and it will install all the prereq's. If any of them would fail for some reason you can do a cpver to see where it patched successfully to.

Thanks for replies!

According to the ticket I submitted to Sungard (SR #: 1-709120466), the sequence should be 4.0.1, 4.0.2, 4.2.2.0 and 4.2.2.34 and it worked, thanks!

Which OS are you on?

Alan,
Are you on Solaris OS? I'm having trouble installing the 4.0.0.0 baseline version on a Solaris 10 zone, as the installer doesn't work with the ZFS file system.

Thanks,
Shyam

We use Windows 2003, thanks!

The installation of the patches were pretty smooth and easy.
