LDN - Luminis Developer Network

We've successfully implemented the first patch (5.0.0.0 --> 5.0.1.0) for our environment. The process is straight forward (execute a patch binary). Some environment specific conditions caused a few bumps but those are now largely resolved.

Please note that until now, we have implemented almost every Banner related service, excluding Luminis. We're going from nothing to LP5. There have been some dependencies required which schools on 4 or under might have already had in play. Here's a list of Luminis facing services and current versions in out Test environment.

We're excited to be able to share this platform with functional users. Already this process has been proven to be a vehicle for relationship building. "Front office" Functional users are seeing the portal can present Banner information in context instead of end users needing to "go find" it. We're already begun working with Finaid, AR and Registrar in a collaborative effort using LP5 to create and communicate data in context, instead of just facilitating the mechanics of individuals seeking information.
