Calendar collisions

Some people in my organization are having problems with the Calendar function at times. They keep getting "Session Expired - You have either timed out or have logged out from a previous session" messages after long pauses.

When I investigated the problem, I found that I could trigger the message by having a pair of users try to access the same person's calendar at the same time for scheduling purposes. Sometimes one person would get the message and get logged out and sometimes another person would have the same problem.

It reminded me of record lock problems in other systems.

As an occasional problem, it is aggravating. As a constant problem, it makes the Calendar function almost unusable.

One of the reasons that it is a constant problem for this group of users is the fact that they are doing counseling scheduling for multiple students using a pool of multiple counselors, each of which is able to add/modify schedules. They use groups to display all the schedules at once, which greatly increases the odds of two or more people choosing the same person and time slot for updates.

Is there a software solution for this? I'm a newbie when it comes to Luminis and the LDN, so I don't know the jargon or the system in great detail. At the same time, I've worked with commercial programming, both from the maintenance standpoint and the development standpoint, for a number of years.
