LDN - Luminis Developer Network

Hello a quick question....
has anyone been able to create a hidden channel on a layout that still is instatiated?

looking at the xml passed to nested-tables.xsl there is a hidden="false" attribute for a channel node. However there is no xsl that looks at this attribute.

I've tried setting up_layout_struct.hidden to 'Y' for the channel id in the db but this doesn't affect the channel on a layout.(probably as the xsl isn't concerened with this atrribute!)

I'm presuming the only way to do this is to hack the xslt but was wondering if anyone had done this/done this another way
