LDN - Luminis Developer Network

So we don't have groups up yet, mostly for political reasons. I was curious to see how other institutions have laid out their group structure, and the theories behind it.

While I'm not looking for an entire diatribe, what kind of thoughts have gone into your roll out of group studio?

Has your institution just kind of rolled it out with a 'myspace' feel and let people have at it with groups?

Do you feel your institution has been rather draconian and keeps an iron fist on what groups can be published and monitors it?

What about those with different sites? Do you organize your categories by physical location?

Any advice would be appreciated.
