LDN - Luminis Developer Network

Hi everyone!

I have been reading some of the scary posts about upgrading to Luminis IV. I am currently sitting at Luminis III.3 and was wondering how long it would take to get Luminis IV installed. We are going to try a 2 box install with a Solaris 10 T2000 server. As I understand it, I would need to first install 4.0 on the new servers. Then migrate the data from 3.3 to 4.0. Then upgrade to 4.0.1. Then upgrade to 4.0.2. Then finally to 4.1.

I am a novice to CPIP. I have taken sct's squirrel example and tried to mimmick it replacing squirrel with the system I am trying to integrate. I set the configman settings and the properties file. I think I am hung up on the .xml. Not quite sure what I am doing with that. I am getting an error that the "loginuser request failed". When I read my cp.log it says "getResponse failed". If anyone has any suggestions please pass them along!

I developed a GCF connector for our NSU Library database website and I'm having some difficulties

making it work to access the library databases. I keep getting "Unknown Error" in the portal inline-frame channel. I have tried many different ways to modify the xml and properties file but to no avail.

The goal is to bypass the login page by passing it the credentials and redirecting to the destination page which is the library databases page for NSU students and staff. Please any help that I can get

After Finally winning round 2 with a big help of this forum I managed to maintain users via webservices andvia java procedures that I call inside my Oracle BPEL application..
Now the functional analyst came to me and told me they will also need to specify the SIS.ID and EmailID when they import users via an xml-file
SIS-who, SIS-what, SIS-where ??? ...This field is definately not part of my user object in the web service..

Again it is about to be a new and exciting round..
Finding out who SIS.ID is, how I can manipulate it, how I can see it,.. And finally destruct it and go for

Hi, we're almost alive with Luminis IV (next August is the deadline).
The academic departments at our Institution would like to have the students pictures in every Course Home Page.

Photos can be uploaded manually but we would like to automate this task.

Has anybody deal with this?

After round 1 I was able to create users in luminis..
Since we are using an external ldap server the immutableId of the user must be set. (it is actually the same as the userID.
The webservices generate a generic immutableid and can not be modified

Opened a SR to ask if there is no alternative way to do this..

Problem :
We have several person maintenance systems (personnell,..) that maintain user information. This information needs to be spread over the different systems including luminis.
Solution :
I am testing oracle SOA suite. This suite can read files, run procedures, call webservices and contains a workflow engine. It is built on an oracle db..

Fight round 1:
I will call the luminis webservices to maintain users/ groups/...
Unfortunately SOA doesn't support complex arrays used by the luminis webservice..
