LDN - Luminis Developer Network

Hi all

We just installed 4.3.0.81 on our test luminis system running Windows 2003 OS.

When we use MS IE to logon to the system (SSL installed), a "Security Warning" message pop up asking the use "Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered Securely?" but no other browsers like Mozilla and Chrome.

If the use click "NO", everything shows normally but if some content will be blocked when "YES".

Is there any school successfully solved the issue? Thanks!

Hi,

We have had SSO working with SSB in Luminis for several years now. In the past, we have had an occasional student call and say they are being prompted for their ID and PIN for SSB within Luminis. This always seems to resolve itself by having the student log back out, close the browser and try again.

Have anyone having problem with blackboard SSO after upgrading Blackboard system to Release 9.1.70081.25?

We received a "Vulnerability Accessment Report" from VeriSign indicates there are couple critical Vulnerabilities on our luminis 4.2.3.34 systems (Windows 2003 OS)running Tomcat/Apache 5.5.0 web servers. Any other school has the similiar issues? if so, what do you do to fix them? Thanks!

Hi all

We are trying to renew and install SSL Certificate for our luminis 4.3 system. We submit a new 2048 bit CSR to Verisign successfully and it returns 2 certificates! We tried to install them both but got errors:
$ keytool -import -v -alias tomcat -file NucleusCert.txt -keystore cacerts -storepass xxxxxxxxx
keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Public keys in reply and keystore don't match

lumadmin@LUM-RES-P /cygdrive/d/Java/jdk1.5.0_10/jre/lib/security

Anyone using a file manager with Luminis IV? I've modified and configured ESUP File Manager Portlet to display files for download which works fine in uPortal 2.5. However, the moment I move the portlet to Luminis and modify the emptySessionPath to "true" for Tomcat's Connectors, luminis is unable to render any of it's channels in Internet Explorer. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Our students received the following error after clicking on the blackboard sso connector link.

External System Error

CPIP Notification: The system 'blackboard' is responding too slowly or not at all, please try again after a short wait

If you need assistance, contact your system administrator.

Has anyone received this similar problem? Please let me know how to fix it.

Do you absolutely need BEIS running to have the channels for banner working on LP5?.. if you don't can you explain your settings??...
