What is the best practice recommendation for the skill set or roles and responsibilities for a Luminis 5 implementation?
We are working on upgrading luminis 4 to 5 but my department director wants to know why since our current system running on 126.96.36.199 (windows 2003 OS) is really great and steady.
Are you upgrading to 5 simply for the sake of upgrading or for better reason? Could any school give us reason(s) to upgrade? thanks so much!
I have a new service that expects xml data (full name, role.. etc)on CAS authentication, all we get after the succesful login is a page that says: "success"
Since we all know that Luminis V has no targeted messaging system, I was wondering if anyone has already implemented that. If so, any directions, or thoughts about it would be appreciated.

I was wondering if any one was using Piranha for load balancing for Luminis 5 or if you use it in Luminis 4. We are currently looking to implement Luminis 5 and will need to move into the realm of load balancing and just trying to see if this would be a viable solution or to look else where.
We are just getting our feet wet with Luminis 5.1 and were wondering what other customers are doing for CAS. Are you.....
1. Using the CAS server that comes with Luminis 5.1 and pointing it to your enterprise LDAP server for authentication (ex: Active Directory)
2. Using the CAS server that comes with Luminis 5.1 and keeping that CAS server pointed at Luminis' OpenDJ LDAP database and managing passwords/accounts locally in Luminis.
3. Using an external CAS server and pointing Luminis 5.1 to it instead of at it's locally installed CAS server.
When updating from 5.0.3 to 5.0.4 whenever I login as admin it gives me an Application Not Authorized to Use CAS error. I can bypass this after seeing this error by changing the URL to use port 8443.
Can someone give me some help?
Has anyone successfully cloned an LP5 portal?... if so.... and this is possible, do you have documentation as to what to re-configure after a Clone?
This is a LP5 box with all integrated, BEIS for SSO to SSB
and Broker configured.
Does anyone have any GCF examples I can look at that connects to zimbra or office 365? Luminis is new to us at our university and any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
