Hi,
I've noticed that the file system (directories) is different from LP3. For an example, in LP3, rdbm.properties is in $CP_WEBINF/config but in LP4, it's in $CP_WEBINF/uPortal/properties. Where can I find more information about this file system changes?
Thanks,
Arion
I've been asked to do some initial research on what will be involved in creating a GCF SSO connector from Luminis IV to Endeavor Information System's Voyager library information system. I see that several other members had varying degrees of success, and wanted to see if people can post their experiences so that I can get an idea of the amount of work that is going to be involved, and what questions I need to ask the Voyager app admin.
Does anyone know if there is a list of officially supported versions of Oracle for Luminis IV? Can I keep using 9i? Is 11g still too new?
Thanks,
Kevin
Has anyone had trouble with the Sun Mail Server upgrade at the end of the 4.0.2.0 upgrade. Applying the upgrade has broken the Email Server. I think, but am not sure, that mail is still being delivered; however, SSO gives me a login screen. We are using ComExp for the mail and calendar UI. The cp.log only shows:
[2008-05-05 14:51:41,057] [ERROR](SecureRedirector.java:310) {http-80-Processor2
3} [com.pipeline.web.SecureRedirector]: Access security violation:[

Hey there follow LDN-ers,
Hope somebody has run into this before, and has something put together (or reverse engineered the Luminis 4 Password Reset Utility).
We are trying to (mis)use the Password Reset Utility and seed it with questions and answers on brand new accounts. A new user would then go to the forgot password area, answer our predefined questions and answers, and will be able to reset our random seeded password with something they choose. That way we solve the issue of having to distribute passwords to new account holders.
Hi folks,
I am attempting to create a new fragment in Luminis IV. The fragment is easily created in the Fragment Manager; however, the new fragment's owner is set up as "dlmf_24" (or some other generic account).
How do I change the owner for the fragment (to an account like "newfragment-lo") so that the fragment can be managed by that owner?
If this answer is in the byzantine documentation, please point me to that. I have had no luck so far....
Thanks in advance!

Email body only shows up if it is sent via plain text. Is there a fix for this?
Thank you,
Renata
We're running Luminis Platform 4.0.2.0 and have a timeout issue in Production, where, despite the setting below, if employees leave their browser sesion idle for about 20 minutes they get a 'Server Failed' of 'Session Expired' message:
configman -g session.employee.timeout
240
We've turned on DEBUG for the session.log and can see that eployees are correctly allocated a 4 hour timeout at login. We can even see them being timed out 4 hours later but, after 20 minutes or so, if they click on a tab, they are kicked out and nothing is dropped in the logs.
We are modifying the look and feel of our portal and have been able to do most of what we wanted, but one thing we can't figure out is how to change/remove the padding around the portal logo. The logo is presented with vspace and hspace attributes set to 5 - does anyone know how/where these values can be modified?
Thanks,
Pete
