Hi all,

Is there any method to get the clear text SIS PIN from Luminis IV? I tried with a CPIP connector and set the useSISCredentials to true; but it seemed that only a hashed SIS PIN was returned.

Hi, What we are looking for is a way to, at the Luminis logon, to check password expiration and/or force change if expired. The main issue is we cannot just use the built in Luminis password security because this will not propagate to the other systems.

So we're being tasked to integrate a google mail SAML sign on, while keeping the form based normal log in through gmail.

We've got the password authentication synched up, so that's not a problem. The problem we're having is that if you have the form based login, Google is telling us that the SAML based login from Luminis has to come from a single source. Since the SAML request is passed through the browser, we'll need a proxy solution to handle the token transfer.

I am working on creating a custom class that will DES, then BASE64 encrypt a string and pass it back to the GCF for posting. The JAVA compiles fine, but won't run on the command-line. It is based on Sungard's Sample.java file found in /opt/luminis/webapps/cpipconnector/WEB-INF/config/sample/. I've created the class file in /opt/luminis/webapps/cpipconnector/WEB-INF/classes/com/campuspipeline/sso/authenticator/custom/ as directed by Sungard Support. However, when it is run on the command-line, I receive the following error:

I'm embarassed to post this, but I've been out of touch with luminis for a while due to other tasks here.

Has any one configured PERL to run from a cgi-bin direcotry or somewhere else on their luminis box ?

We have Banner 8 running on a HP-UX 11.23 rx6600.  We have the brokers communication between it and the Luminis box (Sun).  We have many cases where a student won't get imported/built in Luminis because the email they have specified is the same as one or more other users.  If one of these entries is imported via "cptool import ims <filename>" then we get an error with the error and student ID.  This is fine.

We are in planning stages of changing from Luminis on Windows to Linux.

Our current plan is to completely reinstall our environments with no migration of data. Fresh from the ground up. Our current setup is two environments, prod and test. In each setup there is a resource server, web server, and an email/calendar server. The Database is also on a separate maching as well.

We are trying to modify the default names for our Campus and Personal announcements.  This is working ok in the channel admin UI, but the names still appear on the workflow pages and in the Manage Targeted Announcement page.  It appears there is an object.function that is reading some channel record somewhere to get the value Channel or Personal. The jsp we're looking at is:

Luminis newb question. . . .

I'm installing Luminis IV and I'm getting the following error from the Cygwin prompt (yeah - from the Cygwin prompt. . . ):

Error: [E950] The Cygwin product is not installed  Remedy: [F950] Install the
Cygwin product provided on the Luminis DVD.

I've reinstalled Cygwin and I'm still seeing it - any ideas?
