Hi all

Has any school virtualized (VMS) its luminis system? how about cloning?

We did both successfully but we did notice some weird things happened between the cloned and original luminis systems.

Examples:

1. When running "cptool list users" in both systems, they show exactly the same when no one is using the cloned one, but later try, the cloned one shows 0.
2. When we make a targeted announcement on the original luminis system, it shows on the cloned on as well!

We ask our network team and DBA, they could not find anything wrong either.

We are in parallel deployment for our luminis portal by using F5 load balancer. I have checked the number of active sessions in each portal by running "cptool list sessions". Below is the result:

Active sessions on vuwunicoluporp2: 106
Active sessions on vuwunicoluresp1: 0
Active sessions on vuwunicoluporp1: 121
Active sessions on vuwunicoluporp3: 5,583

Are there any institutions/organizations using Shibboleth with Banner SSB and INB for SSO. Also, does this integrate with Luminis SSO?

I'm working on a clone of a Luminis IV system, trying to set up a custom skin. I've got a sort of catch-22 situation where the Admin icon won't appear so I can't go into the admin GUI to change which skin is active. "Oops."

As far as I can tell, the custom skin should be active:

[lumadmin@lumtest luminis]$ configman -g skin*
skin.active=sou_classic
skin.available.list=classic sou_classic sou_classic
skin.classic.displayname=Luminis Classic
skin.classic.enabled=true
skin.classic.path=classic
skin.root.dir=custom

I am wondering does anyone know how to find all expired users? The problem I'm having is we send Targeted Announcements out through our portal and include the email option. The problem is it's sending around 40k messages and we think it should be sending about 3k! I am thinking it's because of expired users and hoping to get a list of them. Does anyone have a script they would be willing to share or have any other ideas?

We've only got one LDAP running at the moment. We're not experiencing problems or performance issues but would feel better if we had another LDAP sitting behind a load balancer in case of failure.

However, I'm not sure if luminis distinguishes between consumer and master LDAPs in any of it's configuration file. Is there support within the product for multiple LDAPs or do I need to ensure that they are both master(writable) LDAPs sitting behind a load balancer that are in fact indistinguishable to luminis?

Is anyone using Workflow 8.4 with Luminis 4.2? Our DBA has told me we need to move to Luminis 4.3 in order for the Workflow 8.4 channels to work. I'm not really wanting to go to 4.3 because of the Java issues. So I'm wondering if anyone else has tried it and does it work with 4.2!

Does anyone have a rough idea of the cost associated with moving fgrom Luminis 4 to 5? I know that there are many variables to consider but I wanted to see if anyone had a ballpark.

can anyone tell me where to go to set/change the SSLCipherSuite that Lum4 is using. our security manager says we need to shut off "Diffie-Hellman" but as i'm totally new to Luminis i don't know what file/directory to make the change in?
