If perchance this doesn't apply to a Luminis version, choose this one :)

LumDev Spam Filter

I apologize for the frustration and mess this has become. For some reason I'm still unaware of, the spam filter has gone haywire and is marking just about everything as spam.

I've played around with the rules and it seems to have gotten worse, so I've disabled it.

I left captcha on - so I guess we'll see how bad it gets.

Liferay as a CMS

Anyone have experience with Liferay as an enterprise CMS? Is it a 'real' CMS or does it just call itself one like Drupal does?

We're in the market for an enterprise CMS, and with LP5 on the horizon, there might be some connection points if we were to implement Liferay as a CMS also.

Thanks, Bob.

User cleanup

Just to let everyone know, that I did some HEAVY user cleanup.

If there were accounts that had never logged in - I removed them.
If there were accounts that had not logged in once over the last year and a half, I removed them.

This also successfully removed a ton of spam-bot users that had gotten in at various times when captcha wasn't working, or through other means.

This probably won't affect you at all, but I just wanted to put it out there, in the event you search your inbox and realize 3 years ago you actually did register here and amazingly enough you can't log in.

recent LDN errors (drupal)

Recently when I have visited LDN there have been lovely pink/red/salmon boxes at the top of postings containing error messages.

Coding a link in PL/SQL for SSB

I am trying to add a link to an SSB page and have identified where I need to add the link. The link is to an external system and I can see that it must be included in a BANINST1 package but I don't know how to code it to point to the right URL or how to test only my code without running the entire package.

I want a link, such as "anchor verbiage" which points to some mylink constant with some variables. In HTML this would be coded as my verbiage

This is my code:
twbkfrmt.f_printanchor(

Why Switching?

I've noticed a few recent posts about schools moving away from Luminis (specifically to Liferay & Sharepoint).  I am curious why your switcthing, what your switching to and what else was considered.  Also, what do you expect to lose/re-create because of the switch?

(I'm in no way declaring my school is thinking of switching, I'm just curious of the reasoning.)  I am aware the Luminis & UPortal portals are pretty old school as far as a webportal is concerned.

Happy New Year

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year. I'll skip all the resolution stuff this time and just thank you all one more time for making this site as successful as it is. Let's see where the new year takes us!

LDN closed my topic without rhyme nor reason

I posted what I thought was a reasonable question

http://www.lumdev.net/node/3291

No one answered me, but then Sungard gave me a small update - which I thought I would add to the thread.

There was no link to add a comment, and so I worked out what the link would be

and drupal told me:

LumDev Login Captcha

FYI - the login Captcha is too wide within the column, where the far right column covers part of it. (See image attached below)

Image link: http://www.lumdev.net/files/Picture%201.png (added since attachments do not show up if you are not logged in)

The addari theme is a bit too small overall... Even if I siwtch to Garmin... the login issue remains since the default theme for non-logged in users is pulled in... which is addari.  Some of the captcha image is cut off in some cases.

What do you think of the new LumDev Theme ?
