What are the best ways to perform campuswide SSO with following config.?

(1) Use Luminis auto provisioning for students and create gMail account. What connector do we use?

(2) Use eDirectory (Novell) as central authentication server. What connector do we use? Do we need to use this additional connector in addition to gMail adaptor? In this scenario, does gmail and eDirectory accounts are created simultaneously?

(3) Is there a setup in Luminis to automatically resolve email algorithm in eDirectory? How does it resolve duplicate email ID?

Hi there,

I'm currently investigating how to migrating mailbox contents from our Luminis mail system to Microsoft's Live@edu cloud-based mail service, using live@edu's email migration tool.

One of the requirements for this migration is that we are not allowed to use the users' passwords. So, I'm trying to figure out how to use an administrator account on our Luminis system that has access to each users mailbox.

Has anyone built a "GCF connector" or "CAS plugin" for Blackboard 8?
We have Luminis 5.

Duties and Responsibilities:

We currently have Degreeworks in our test environment and I am trying to setup single signon via Luminis. We use the third party id on goatpad as our luminis username but the username to access Degreeworks is the spriden id. I have the ldap parameters setup in Degreeworks Surecode but when I log into Luminis and access the Degreeworks channel, it is trying to access Degreeworks with the luminis credentials. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have been asked if it's possible to SSO into Luminis. Here are the details. We have an account lookup system (using Oracle Application Express) where users enter two pieces of information in order authenticate themselves so they can obtain their MyWashburn account credentials. (These are GOATPAD third party ID and GORPAUD unencrypted PIN.) Then, they have to go to the MyWashburn login page, enter the information, change password and then answer the security questions.

Currently I am receiving person events in Luminis IV from Self Service Banner for account creation. The problem is that only the users with the STUDENT role are getting the PIN from SSB which enables the users to log into Luminis.

The APPLICANTS, etc get accounts in Luminis but no initial password.

Does anyone know how to set Luminis to receive PINS from SSB for ROLES that I want to be able to log in?

We are trying to automate the creation of student credentials on our LDAP (Novell eDirectory Authentication System) using student enrolments as a trigger.

Logically, this process would follow the same path as integrating WebCT with Banner.

I am trying to get our PD-version of the website setup.  We have the load balancer set up and the servers installed.
