Hi all

We want to remove an additional icon in our luminis (We have Email and GMail icons, we want to remove GMail for Groupwise after upgrading to Google mail) but after changing the following files:

$CP_ROOT/webapps/luminis/WEB-INF/uPortal/org/jasig/portal/layout/tab-column/nested-tables/nested-tables.xsl (comment out Email part)
$CP_ROOT/webapps/luminis/WEB-INF/uPortal/org/jasig/portal/channels/cpicons/channel.xsl (same as above)

we got the following errors:

Can't service request to /render.userLayoutRootNode.uP

I created a fragment and owner id is dlmf_42. I try to login with dlmf_42 as username and frag.pwd as default password, but I got Username and Password not found error message.
Why?

what can i do to edit the principal layout and add the server is attend at the user?

Hi all

A student tries to change password by clicking on "my account" link, even he/she follows the rules (from Abcd1234 to Abcd4321):
Password Requirements
• The password length must be 8 or greater.
• The password length must be 20 or less.
• The password must contain a letter.
• The password must contain a digit.

luminis keeps showing "The password change failed for an unspecified reason."

Why is that? We use EAS and Novell NDS to Authenticate.

Any idea or suggestion is welcome!

After getting tired of fighting with the annoying IE Mixed Content security warnings on Luminis and other sites when trying to include off-site content (photos of the day, xKCD comics, LOLCats, you know, important stuff students like), I decided to just fix the problem once and for all and created FixSSL.

For any URL that I need to include HTTP content on my HTTPS pages, I can now just add https://fixssl.com/ to the beginning of it, so I can now use and it will render the page as an SSL resource and no warning message appears.

Do you remove the Disabled Accounts in your luminis system or leave them disabled?

How do we create a list of Disabled Accounts (The disabling coming from our NDS) in luminis 4.2.3.34 system?

Please some one care to give idea(s), thanks!

I'm curious what the process is like, getting users from Luminis into Self-Service Banner, at other schools. Let me describe what we have at the U of S as an example...

We discarded the "Academic Services" channel that came with Luminis, and instead built our own Targeted Content channels: Registration, Admission, Grades & Transcripts, Financial Services, etc. Each of these channels contains some descriptive text and then a SSO link deep into SSB.

Could someone please tell me what extra steps needed to make CPIP connector work for 9 from 8?

we made blackboard.properties and nested-table.xsl changes and got "access denied" error.
