Wellesley College is in the process of implementing Luminis and will soon be implementing Zimbra. We are negotiating a contract with a third party Zimbra Service Provider and would like to have a clearer understanding of what will be required to replace the SunOne Email and Calendar functionality with Zimbra.
It seems to me that we are looking at four different pieces of work.
1) Provisioning of Accounts and Groups from Luminis
2) Authentication from AD (our LDAP) should Luminis be unavailable
3) Single Sign-on from Luminis
4) Exposure of email and calendar events for use within a Luminis channel.
I saw a flurry of emails about Zimbra integration at the beginning of the year (2009) and not much since. For those of you out there who have or are working on Zimbra Integration with Luminis I have the following questions:
a) Have I identified the correct four pieces of work? What's missing?
b) Have others done this who might be able to share code or experience?
c) Are any who have already done this work interested in some possbile remote moonlighting for Wellesley in order to help us through a very aggressive implementation cycle? (The answer to this last question could be sent to me personally (email@example.com)
