Are Luminis/SSB Google Analytics Custom Filters necessary today?

Hello all,

About a year ago I setup custom filters in Google Analytics to translate the unfriendly Luminis URLs:
https://luminis.school.edu/tag.8e9abb909ed2e5ba.render.userLayoutRootNod...

to more friendly names:
"Luminis Faculty Tab"

Threads like this one discuss it in detail:

We have also repeated this process for SSB pages but recently noticed there is a section in Google Analytics called "Content by Title" which shows all of the statistics by page title! It seems to already accomplish what we did using the custom URL filters more reliably with no effort! Is there something that I am missing here? Do we gain anything else using the custom URL filters that Content by Title does not provide?

Luminis Version:

I don't know, but I would be keen to hear what you discover. I managed to setup a good number of filters, but there are still a LOT of requests that I haven't been able to map to sane names for reporting.

Hello,

I noticed that Page by Title does not help us look at Tab statistics because the tabs all have the same page title. Because of this we will keep our filters intact.
