Hello Lumdev -
Just wondering if anyone out here has upgraded to Luminis 5 and has search working?
We are upgrading from Luminis IV to 5.3 and using the Ellucian LP5 theme.
As I understand it we need to set up Lucene. Just wondering what everyone else is using and if anyone has had success with Luminis 5 and Lucene search (or any other search solution)
Without any change from luminis side, gcf connector to online Microsoft Office 365 stopped working, giving the below error:
Sorry, but we’re having trouble signing you in.
We received a bad request.
I was wondering if anyone has been able to generate RSS feed from Luminis 5 Announcements Portlet which users could subscribe to?
Luminis has been running at different levels of efficiency and effectiveness for about 12 years now, and it's still kicking around on the original Sun V880s we bought for the purpose. We've seen ups and downs and a diminishing role of the portal (called MyBCIT) as time has rolled on. Due to resource constraints, MyBCIT has seen limited discussion at the IT Services meetings, less focus from students and faculty and an overall march to retirement.
Until two months ago.
We are looking for a web developer to replace someone that has moved on. Our web team consists of 7 people (3 developers, 1 content/accessibility specialist, 1 content maintainer, 1 designer, and our manager).
This position would focus mostly on server-side code, Java (Luminis 5.3 as well as custom code), Coldfusion (various custom apps), PHP, sql/mysql. Web server administration would be a plus. We run tomcat/apache as well as IIS.
PCC is the largest school in the state of Oregon and Portland is a great place to live, although I'm likely biased:)
We have Luminis 5.3 in production with CAS-AD Fall through authentication.
We need to add the memberOf multivalue attribute from AD to the list of avalable LDAP attributes.
I wonder if any school has done that and we would like to hear from you.
Your response will be much appreciated!
We would like to create a portlet that is similar to My Courses, but with some additional information. Courses that are not yet active at the beginning of the semester (2nd 8-week courses, or those with a different start date than the rest of the semester), or haven't been made active by the professor, do not show in My Courses. Students would also like to see additional information with building/room codes, meeting times, start/stop times. Ideally it would list all of this in a portlet instead of being a link to a schedule. Has anyone created a portlet like this?
