D2l grades export using Glassfish MQ and LMG

Submitted by alexander_z on Wed, 07/15/2015 - 19:18

Hi All,

Trying to get grades back out of D2L but stuck with it. Everything is fine for the data going from Banner to D2L (via JMSHTTPAdapter). We have Glassfish MQ and LMG installed (without Luminus and LMB). Is anyone had that experience before?

Kind regards,

Alex

Recent spate of spam bombarding LDN

Submitted by libdms on Mon, 03/10/2014 - 05:51

This morning, I realised that there has been a spate of new users and spam on LDN.

Would it be possible to put spam filters on the site following its drupal migration?

Fortunately I still have some moderator rights, so I have deleted the promoted forum topics that are inappropriate.

Missing content after Feb 28, 2014 maintenance?

Submitted by GinnyLee on Tue, 03/04/2014 - 14:51

I did a google search for info about an LMB problem on Feb 28, 2014 during a LUMDEV system maintenance window. I found a few posts that were relevant (eg, node 4930 & 2741) and read the posts using the google cached versions. When I tried to access them this week, I am getting 404 errors:

Page not found
The requested page "/node/4930" could not be found.

I also searched for the content from w/in LUMDEV, but couldn't find them.

I'm hoping the content is still somewhere and not really lost... Can I find or get to it some other way?

Lumdev migration completed! (for real this time)

Submitted by gskinner on Tue, 05/28/2013 - 09:40

Everyone, I apologize for the extra downtime that occurred. We move the site in two stages, the first being the actual lumdev website, the second being the domain name transfer. We had a few days of downtime tied to the domain name transfer, but we are back up now and *crossing fingers* shouldn't expect any more problems.

Over the coming weeks and months we will be working at sprucing up Lumdev so that this downtime will only be a small moment in the site's history. I appreciate everyone's patience.

Banner Events -> LMS

Submitted by bwalker on Thu, 09/13/2012 - 15:30

Hey Everbody,
Can someone please remind me what common practice is.

Does Section change event processing from Banner to an LMS (WebCT, BB, D2L, etc) result in changes to the LMS courses, specifically LMS course names, and LMS start/end dates? (Of course, assignments and enrollments are expected to be processed).

Thanks, Bob

Creating "Auditor" type of accounts in Banner for access through SSB

Submitted by fontnest on Thu, 09/13/2012 - 13:38

My supervisor has created an app for SSB that can be used by State Auditors, especially those concerned with checking Admissions.
He wants them to be able to access it via the web so that they don't have to physically be at our campus.
This would require up to about 5 accounts for access.
Even though they could be put into a group in Luminis and be given "simultaneous login" capability, that (as I understand it) would not carry through to SSB. That means that the second person to click the link to SSB through Luminis would incur the dreaded "Breakin Attempt" error.
